When you live by values, your life has more focus, purpose and is full of endless possibilities.

Think positively

Wouldn’t our lives be filled with more love and happiness if we all viewed it through a glass “half-full” rather than “half-empty”? It is a known fact that people who think positively live a longer happier life.

What is thinking positively?

Do you ever tell yourself that you shouldn’t try, you’re afraid, don’t

Deserve something, or you’re not good enough? If so, that way of thinking is only keeping you stuck in a negative mindset. Thinking positively is powerful it’s a holistic approach to life. In order to really think positively, you have to feel positive mentally, physically and emotionally. Start by adopting a positive way of thinking and allow yourself to feel good no matter what your circumstance in life, you have the power and should make the decision to feel good, and find happiness in whatever life throws you.

Surround yourself around positive energy as well as with positive people. Negative people can be extremely contiguous. On your journey of finding happiness and thinking positively you can’t afford to let negative people even breath on you. In addition, you can also read positive quotes, books and affirmations to assist you with your personal growth and help through challenging days.

When you develop a positive attitude about life, you are confident, happy, and hopeful. You think about what is good in the each situation rather than what is negative about it. Believe in yourself and believe that you are capable of having a positive outlook on life. You play a huge part in your own happiness, and you can greatly increase it by thinking positively.

The importance of making time for yourself

In life, the moments you feel like you can’t afford to take a break are usually the moments a break is needed. When you’re stressed or overwhelmed, remove yourself from whatever situation you’re dealing with at that moment, and consider how you may be able to rearrange your time differently, where you put things to the side and make yourself a priority. Prioritizing time to reflect on whether you’re living the life you want to live can be a real challenge. Some people are faced with family commitments, work deadlines/responsibilities and a long to-do lists; therefore, making “me time” to explore new possibilities a bit difficult.

All to often, we take care of everything else; but forget to care for ourselves. Balance is very important, we preach it to others, but how often do we live it?

Make it a point to schedule some “me time” on a weekly basis. Figure out what’s important and prioritize. Ask yourself, what can wait until next week? Free yourself from your daily routine in order to figure out what truly makes you happy.

Step outside of the box; try something new and exciting, like dance classes attend a concert or local festival. One of the most rewarding outcomes of taking time for self is developing a real appreciation of new possibilities. This can be a difficult task when you’re caught up in daily routines and feel guilty for thinking of yourself however; when your well being isn’t a priority a lot of things in your life are affected, sleep, health, stress levels, loss of creativity etc. Al in all, when you focus on self you begin to naturally live a happy and healthy life. Try it sometime

Materialism – Moral and social perspectives

This is a great read!!

Moral and social perspectives
Written by A. M. Ghadirian

Brief Description:
Materialism is having a devastating impact on societies and individuals throughout the world. With a focus on the moral and social consequences of materialistic mindsets and lifestyles, this book examines psychological, sociological and spiritual perspectives substantiated by extensive scientific research reported in the literature.

The problem of wealth and poverty is not only an economic issue; it is also a moral dilemma. In challenging the unbridled accumulation of wealth, or the economic injustices and corruption of our modern world, the author discusses the roles of egotism, arrogance and indifference to the plight of millions who die each year from starvation and disease. Such indifference, as well as the deterioration of human behavior, is rooted in the loss of values and spiritual perspectives on life.

This book challenges the view that matter is the centerpiece of life – a view that denies spirituality, conscience and feeling. It advocates for a sensible balance between the spiritual and material aspects of life as two pillars of an equitable civilization.

Developing a real appreciation for the things you have in this very moment opens up more opportunities in the future. Continue reading

Emotional Blackmail

Emotional blackmail is very common. It’s an extremely powerful form of manipulation. It usually involves an individual close to us threatening to punish us for not doing what they want.
