Interested in Meditation & Self-Help?

I keep coming back to this because I think it matters: Centerpointe Research gives away a free Holosync CD, and that free disc is what finally got me meditating for real. The testimonials I read beforehand sounded almost too good, the kind of thing you shrug off. Then I tried it myself and understood why people talk the way they do.

Working with the people there has been about as painless as anything I've done online. Their support staff actually answers you. When you start, there's a free online course, and they want to hear back about how you're reacting to it. As you move through the program, letters arrive that go with each stage, and most levels toss in a few extras along the way.

I'm nowhere near finished. The program is built in levels, and each one has taken me six months or so, which is fine, because they tell you not to rush. Plan on giving it time. Treat it like something you return to on a schedule rather than a weekend project.

On my good days I put in an hour with the CDs. The payoff is real enough that the hour starts feeling less like discipline and more like a break you want to take. There have been nights when I couldn't sleep and reached for them, and they helped then too.

What surprised me is how much ground this covers. Meditating with the Holosync Solution has crowded out the other self-improvement systems I might have cobbled together on my own. They offer payment plans, and the monthly cost tends to land near, often under, what you'd spend on self-growth books and workshops anyway.

Starting is not complicated, so don't keep pushing it to next week. Use everything that comes bundled with the program; that's the point of it. The hardware list is short: a decent pair of stereo headphones (theirs are priced reasonably if you need them) and something to play the recordings on. They've tracked the technology over the years, from tapes to CDs and now to other forms of electronic delivery. You aren't meant to focus or strain while the recordings play. You listen, that's it.

A good share of what I've written here at www.myeverydaypsychology.com traces back, one way or another, to my time with the Holosync Solution. I gave it a shot and it worked for me. Published September 25, 2013.
